95TH ANNIVERSARY OF RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF THE STATE OF LITHUANIA COMMEMORATED IN NEW DELHI
On February 16 the 95th anniversary of Re-establishment of the State of Lithuania was solemnly celebrated at the Embassy of Lithuania in New Delhi. The commemoration gathering was attended by the Lithuanians of Delhi as well as by the friends of Lithuania in India – civil servants, people from business community and the sphere of culture. In her congratulatory speech Mrs. Diana Mickeviciene, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Lithuania in India, has told the friends of Lithuania in India about the significance of the Act of Independence of Febuary 16, 1918, to the history of the statehood of Lithuania. She also wished all Lithuanians of India to keep the spirit of February 16 in their hearts even living far away from Lithuania.
