Dalia Grybauskaitė extended condolences on the passing of former Indian president

Tuesday, July 28, Vilnius – President Dalia Grybauskaitė extended condolences on behalf of the Lithuanian people and personally to President Shri Pranab Mukherjee of India on the passing of former president Abdul Kalam.
“Dr. Abdul Kalam had served wholeheartedly his country and its people for many years. He was a prominent leader, as a scientist and as a president, strongly committed to bringing the Indian people together and inspiring the young generation to build their nation and consolidate their state,” the President wrote in her message of condolences.
The President offered heartfelt sympathy to Abdul Kalam’s family, his friends and to India.
