Director of Klaipėda Port paid a visit to India
in 2024 January 29-31 Mr. Algis Latakas, director of "Klaipėda State Seaport Authority" (hereinafter - Klaipėda Port; KP) visited Delhi and Mumbai for meetings with the representatives of the Ministry of Shippings, Ports and Waterways, Government of Maharashtra State, ports in Mumbai.
In Delhi, the KP Director met T K Ramachandran, Secretary of the Ministry of Shipping, Ports and Waterways of India, in Mumbai - with Sanjay Bansode, the Minister of Port Development of the Maharashtra, and the chairmen of Mumbai Port Trust (MPT), Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) of the two major ports of Mumbai. In these meetings, the main topic was to present KP's activities and development, to look for opportunities for cooperation between KP and Indian government structures and ports. It was agreed to further expand cooperation between KU and Indian ports, share good practices, and organize expert exchanges.
