Lithuania in Delhi commemorates 20 years anniversary in NATO
On 25th of April, the Embassies of Lithuania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia in New Delhi hosted a reception to celebrate two decades of membership in NATO. The event was attended by leading diplomats of NATO, the EU and partner countries, as well as journalists, political scientists, academicians.
The leaders and people of every 7 nation understood that the decision to embark on the process of joining NATO as full members was also a conscious declaration of their heartfelt interest and desire to re-unite with their own family of countries in the European Union and NATO, standing up for the value and principle of human freedom and of freedom to choose one's own destiny and future as well as contributing to the strength of the rules-based international order that has been underpinning peace in the world for 75 years.
