The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania unequivocally condemns the unilateral decision of the Russian Federation to bring the humanitarian convoy that has not been examined into the territory of Ukraine without the latter’s assent and the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross escorting the convoy. By such actions Russia aggressively seeks to heighten tension, violates the international procedures and the agreements that have been reached thus far. We assess these actions as a severe provocation against Ukraine, a grave violation of international law and a further escalation of the situation. All the responsibility for the consequences of these unilateral actions falls on the Russian Federation.
