Ambassador Diana Mickevičienė presented the Letters of Credence to the President of Sri Lanka
H. E. Ms. Diana Mickevičienė, Ambassador of Lithuania to Sri Lanka presented the Letters of Credence to The Honourable President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe. The day before, 20th of August, marked the 28th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Sri Lanka.
President Wickremesinghe congratulated Ambassador D. Mickevičienė on her new post and wished her a successful tour of duty as Lithuanian Ambassador to Sri Lanka. Both shared their mutual desire to expand bilateral relations and cooperation, particularly in the fields of high technologies and cultural ties.
Ambassador D. Mickevičienė expressed sincere appreciation to President Wickremesinghe for accepting the Letter of Credence appointing her as the new Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka:
“I am honored to serve Lithuania in Sri Lanka and will strive to further strengthen and broaden our partnership. Especially high tech cooperation and expertise that Lithuania can offer would expand new avenues and strengthen the existing Lithuanian cyber security, IT presence in Sri Lanka”.
