Call for proposals for short-term studies and research visits
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania is offering 3 types of scholarships for students, lecturers and researchers of foreign countries in the academic year 2016-2017.
Lithuanian state scholarship programme does not provide scholarships to cover full degree studies, therefore normally an academic degree or diploma cannot be obtained during the period covered by the scholarship.
The study or research visit must take place from September 2016 to June/July 2017. The autumn semester in higher education and research institutions of Lithuania normally lasts from September until January and spring semester – from February until June. In order to arrange a study or research visit in Lithuania and receive an official letter of acceptance, a candidate is advised to contact directly the International Office of the chosen Lithuanian higher education institution. 1st of April, 2016 – the deadline for online application submission for all short-term studies and research visits. Also, note that applications with all additional documents should be sent by post to the institution mentioned in the table below not later than 1st of April, 2016, date as per postmark.
