More about Lithuanian folk dance ensemble „Žilvitis“...
„Žilvitis“ of Vytautas Magnus University started in 1957 as a small folk dance group. During more than 50 years of history they created over 250 atistic programs and performed over 1500 concerts all over the world.
Through dances with different costumes, songs and melodies, performed with different national instruments – zither, pan, pipes, reed pipes, bagpipes they try to tell all about archaic Lithuanian life.
The group has participated and won laurels in many festivals and different competitions at home and abroad – Italy, Spain, Greece, Canada, USA, UK, Germany, Turkey and Poland.
