Exhibition by Lithuanian artist Dainius Trumpis opens in New Delhi

Exhibition ‘Fragments in Connection’ opened in Studio 55 in New Delhi on Friday, 15th of April. Exhibition consists of several paintings and instalation works.

"Taking a closer look at the remaining images in my memory, I find fractal like memory, where images are formed influenced by the individual's personal experience, realistic images and a variety of events taking place at the same time in the environment and contributing to a particular remembered image or feeling. These memories have very often nothing to do with the documentary photographic images, but in the memory construct they become completely true and real.

Memory creates a complete picture from various fragments. In this specific case I am interested not in the ultimate picture constructed by my memory but scattered fragments of memories which I can model myself resisting the inert influence to form memory. In this way I can put together a new, total “picture“ which is unpredictable to myself. It becomes as if a mosaic assembled of disorderly, scattered fragments of memories." - the idea of the exhibition was presented by the author.

Exhibition „Fragments in Connection“ by Dainius Trumpis will be opened until 18th of April.
