H. E. Ms. Diana Mickevičienė, Ambassador of Lithuania to India, paid a visit to the State of Karnataka

H. E. Ms. Diana Mickevičienė, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of India, on October 12–13 visited Bangalore, the capital of the State of Karnataka.

During the visit, the Ambassador met Mr. Siddaramaiah, Chief Minister of Karnataka. During the meeting, cultural relations between Karnataka, India, and Lithuania were discussed, and the opening of the new Teltonika office in Bangalore was mentioned as a success of economic development between Karnataka and Lithuania. The Minister invited Lithuanian business to invest in Karnataka.

In the meeting with Mr. Priyank Kharge, Minister of Information Technology, Biotechnology of Karnataka, the possibilities of Lithuania's participation in the “Bengaluru Tech Summit” were discussed. “Bengaluru Tech Summit” will be held this year on November 29 – December 1, 2023, thus the organizers expect the participation of Lithuanian high-tech companies in the event as Lithuanian presence in the „Bengaluru Tech Summit“ has been noticeable during the past several years.

The Ambassador attended the inauguration of the new office of the Lithuanian company “Teltonika”  in Bangalore - the company has been located in the city since 2017 but moved to new premises due to an increase in the number of employees. Mr. Nishad Ali, tthe head of the “Teltonika” office in India spoke about the successful sales of the company's products in India, currently, mentioning that there were 40 employees in the Bangalore office, and almost 100 employees in all three of the company's offices in India - Pune and Noida. The ambassador congratulated the enterprise on its successful expansion in India.
