INDIAN BUSINESSMEN INVITED TO USE THE POTENTIAL OF LITHUANIA
On February 21 the Ambassador of Lithuania in India Laimonas Talat-Kelpša presented the business and investment opportunities in Lithuania to the Indian business community and invited them to actively take advantage of the Lithuanian potential.
"Lithuania offers Indian entrepreneurs modern business environment and well-developed infrastructure that would enable Indian companies not only to respond flexibly to the requirements of the global market, but also to save considerable expenses. Lithuania can become a gateway for India to the European Union, the CIS markets and to Northern Europe " - stressed Ambassador Talat-Kelpša in the discussion on the Nordic and Baltic region organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry.
The discussion formed part of the Conference “Enhancing Trade and Investment Opportunities between India and Central/Nordic Europe” organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry, together with the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The conference was attended by the representatives of Indian business community, senior officials of the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce and Inustry of the Government of India, Ambassadors of Central and Northern European countries.
Two studies undertaken by the CII together with private partners, one on “Accelerating Economic Engagement between India and Nordic Region” and second on “Trade and Investment Relations between India and Central Europe” were launched at the conference by Dr. E.M.Sudarsana Natchiappan, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
