Indo-Lithuanian restaurant opens in Lucknow
An Indo-Lithuanian venture, “The Pebbles Bistro,” opened in Lucknow, UP, this Saturday.
“India and Lithuania already have a steady and growing relationship, which in terms of trade reached EUR 100 million last year,” said Lithuanian Ambassador Laimonas Talat-Kelpša while talking to the press at the official inauguration ceremony.
“However, our ambition is larger than that. We want more trade, more investment, and more people-to-people relations. In this sense, the opening of ‘The Pebbles’ personifies this ambition,” said the Ambassador.
The restaurant, jointly run by an Indian Manish Raj Singh and his Lithuanian wife Kristina, will serve Indian and Continental food, including several Lithuanian dishes.

It also offers a relaxing ambiance of a Mediterranean courtyard, where every single tree was carefully preserved during the construction process.
The owners say they would like to turn this place into a meeting point of different people and cultures. They also share a dream of opening a similar restaurant in Lithuania.
According to the Embassy’s database, there are three Lithuanian nationals currently residing in Lucknow.
