Lithuania sends humanitarian aid to Nepal

Lithuania sent essential medical equipment to Nepal, which has been hit by a severe outbreak of COVID-19. Humanitarian aid was provided in accordance with the decision of Lithuanian Government and in response to Nepal‘s request for medical supplies to help fight the pandemic in the country.

„We stand with the people of Nepal through these difficult and challenging times. In the moment of need, solidarity in fight against the pandemic is as important as ever“ – said Ambassador of Lithuania to Nepal, H.E. Julius Pranevičius.

Lithuania is sending 5 breathing machines (mechanical ventilators) and 20 oxygen inhalers worth around EUR 50, 000 to Nepal from the state reserve, which is administered by the Ministry of Health of Lithuania.
