Lithuanian has won the jury prize at The Asia-Europe Foundation “On the Go” photo contest

The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) invited photographers to participate in “On the Go”, a photo competition celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM). The theme of the contest was the motion and the pace of life in Asia and Europe, illustrating the moments where we are different – and yet, so alike.

The winners were selected from over 1500 pieces submitted by photographers in 50 different countries. The competition was judged by a panel of experts including Gisli Snaer, Head of the Puttnam School of Film of the LASALLE College of the Arts, Gwen Lee, Director of the Singapore International Photography Festival, and Stefen Chow, an accomplished photographer.

The winners of the two jury prizes are  “On the boat” by Berta Tilmantaitė, Lithuania and “Seeing the outside change” by Ritagnik Bhattacharya, India. The audience prize for most voted entry was awarded to “The Nomads of Rajasthan” by Roli Mahajan.

The top 3 awarded works will be showcased in an exhibition, together with a further shortlist of 20 works. The photos will be exhibited in Asia and Europe, as well a photo book will be published, which will feature these, plus 30 more photographs.
